Extending the restoration from Phase 1 to the A41 crossing at Aston Clinton.

Stage 1 . Manhole E of Drayton B'Champ Bridge No 5 to CC's boundary The length has already been cleared. It requires annual striming of weeds.

First of six main stages of relining . 321m long and includes a 50m reinforced concrete towpath wall.

Stage 2 Bucks CC Herts CC boundary to footbridge 4a Second of six main stages of relining 350m long and includes a 50m reinforced concrete towpath wall.

Stage 3 Herts footpath bridge 4a to Whitehouses Third of six main stages of relining 350m long.

Stage 4 Whitehouses to past bridge No 4. Fourth of six main stages of relining 350m long and includes a 50m reinforced concrete towpath wall.

Stage 5 Past Bridge No 4 to bridge narrows at car track. Fifth of main stages of lining 350m long and includes a 50m reinforced concrete towpath wall

Stage 6 . The sixth of six main stages of lining the canal bed 337m long

Stage 7 . .Construction of reinforced wall From the end of phase 1 to the car track entrance

Stage 8 The timber footbridge on the former site of swingbridge NO.4

Stage 9 The timber footbridge on Herts County Council footpath that crosses the canal No 4a

Stage10 Provision of sluice/weir at Whitehouses.

Stage 11 Construction of bridge narrows at car track

Stage 12 Removal of temporary walls and sump.

Stage 13 Manhole to end of Aston Clinton by-pass diversion (200m)
The length has already been cleared. BW are relining this length in conjunction with the by-pass diversion

Stage 14 Aston Clinton by-pass diversion (500m)
The work on the Aston Clinton Bypass was started in October 2001.

Stage 15 New winding hole.
The new winding hole will be built by the Trust at the west end of the Canal diversion for the by-pass. .
