Stage 3 (2007/2008) is the third of six main stages of relining the dry canal bed ready for re-watering and is 350 metres long.

The clearing of the dry bed at Whitehouses is proceeding well.

September 2001: The most overgrown bit of the canal. The towpath is stil clear, but the old canal bed has not been cleared and now has trees growing in it. Feb:2003 we had 140 airmen/women from RAF Halton they have cut down all the trees up to the old pumping station.
Oct 2003: What's left of the old Whitehouses pumping station.

JULY 2009 The Blinding was put in for the new mooring wall in this Phase.
