April 2005,This is the site of bridge no 4a,
Stage 9 (2005/2006 but by 2007 at the latest) is a timber footbridge where a footpath crosses the bed of the dry canal. The funding of this footbridge, if required by Herts County Council (the footpath authority), is currently the subject of correspondence with HCC. A temporary bund may be provided at bridge 4a up to this point
